Jesus told Nicodemus, "No one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit." (John 3:5) Not enough emphasis is placed on the Spirit in our culture. There are many unseen things happening in the spirit realm that we must respond to, other than through logic. The miracles of God that we see in the Old and New Testament are just that, miracles. They go beyond our human logic and are dynamic spiritual experiences.
Man is a spirit being that lives in a body and possesses a soul. The knowledge of God goes beyond the natural realm of senses and intellect of the soul to a heartfelt supernatural faith in a God we have never seen but believe to be real.
As Mr. D' Souza said, people often claim their results to be the truth. This is common in science and religion. The results one obtains can be flawed without knowing it. It is critical in Christianity to base your faith in God not on your experience but solely on His Word.
The evil that this world experiences goes beyond the natural realm. We often look for the logical answer to life's difficulties when they could be better explained through spiritual (beyond human) causes. The spiritual condition of a person greatly affects the natural parts of their life. Adam and Eve never experienced evils until they sinned. Was God the cause of their evils? No, evil entered with satan and sin. The Jews were often in trouble and suffered evils because they turned from God. After they repented and returned to Him the evils left.
A good example is in Numbers 21:4-8. The symbol we use for medicine, a snake on a pole, comes from this story. When the people sinned the snakes entered and many died. When they repented and turned their entire attention toward God the snakes left and those that were bitten were healed. Can that happen today? In John 3:14 Jesus said He would be lifted up as Moses lifted up the snake. If anyone would turn their complete attention to Him they too would be forgiven and healed.
Is it necessary to believe in Jesus or can a person enter heaven without acknowledging Him? If there are multiple ways to enter heaven then why was it necessary for Jesus to go to the cross? Can an animal die to take the place of a human spirit? Can a human redeem himself? It was necessary for God to die Himself in order for His will to be invoked. The covenant required one to die for sin. He chose to be the one to die. He, himself, is the Testator of the will. In order to inherit from the will you have to believe in Jesus.
Now that we are the heirs of the Will through Jesus, it is our job to see to it that His will is being done on earth. We often fail to exercise our spiritual authority over the evils of this earth and suffer from the consequences. Because of a lack of teaching on this line in the churches, people suffer unnecessarily.
The evils can be overcome. They must be addressed from a spiritual perspective with authority and boldness. We need to recognize when the evil we face is an attack of unseen evil forces . We also need to increase our knowledge of God’s will for this earth and our lives. By turning our complete attention to God through Jesus Christ we can be in a position to receive blessing and protection.
